Similar to a brand evaluation, approval ratings studies measure the general perception of a population with respect to individual leader or a group or organisation acting in an area of broad public interest.

Purpose

To identify the extent of broad support accorded to an individual leader or a group or organisation and to plan strategies to increase such support.

Scope/Range

Can include segmentation studies for a sharperunderstanding of population sub-group perceptions with a focus on establishing positive perception in any particularly desirable group of potential consumers or users.
